EMERGENCY ACTION PLANNING
An EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN (EAP) is a set of actions developed for an emergency situation based on the findings of a SECURITY THREAT ASSESSMENT. We take what we learned about your organization’s vulnerabilities, the threats posed both externally and internally, and current policies or procedures for emergency situations and develop an extensive set of actions tailored to your organization. This provides your employees with a set of actions to take even if they have not been trained or management is not available to instruct them on what to do. Business continuity and emergency management are vital concepts that can be difficult to execute in the moment as a hostile situation unfolds. Providing your people with a standardized plan can save lives and bring the situation to a swift end.
Our EAPs are designed to provide guidance for each area and function of an organization. Employees in a warehouse and administrative employees in an office setting do not have the same escape routes or cover points available so training them to respond to an attack or emergency in the same manner does not make sense.
When designing an EAP, We take several safety concerns into account including the presence of hazardous chemicals, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, explosive compounds, fuels, and electrical hazards. We also look at what emergency supplies are on hand like medical supplies, food and water stores, and communications equipment as well as ensure confidential information and documents are protected.
We then design actions and goals for your employees to accomplish like escaping the area via specific exits, proceeding to rally locations, notifying emergency responders, and maintaining accountability of personnel. Our EAPs are designed around a specific event, but packages containing multiple plans or plans for all events may be provided.
If training packages like ACTIVE SHOOTER INCIDENT RESPONSE or WORKPLACE DE-ESCALATION TACTICS are desired, they can be better tailored to your organizations needs using an EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN and the actions specified within.
PACKAGES AND OPTIONS
EAP FULL PACKAGE: Includes EAPs for Active Shooter Incidents, Explosive Threats, Manmade Disasters, and Natural Disasters.
EAP / ACTIVE SHOOTER: This is a plan for your employees to set into motion if your organization faces an active shooter or insider threat. The procedures set in place by this type of EAP are based on our ACTIVE SHOOTER INCIDENT RESPONSE curriculum.
EAP / EXPLOSIVE THREAT: Includes plans on how to safely identify an explosive threat, who to notify, how to evacuate without setting off the explosives or alerting the attacker, cordon sizes and evacuation distances, and accountability procedures.
EAP / MANMADE DISASTER: Includes procedures on how to handle manmade disasters like large chemical or waste spills, large scale manufacturing incidents, explosions due to equipment or storage failures, aircraft crashes, industrial fires, or any other disaster your organization is concerned about.
EAP / NATURAL DISASTER: Includes procedures on how to maintain continuity and accountability during natural disasters like earthquakes, fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, or any other natural disasters your organization is concerned about.
